The Fédération Laïque des Centres de Planning Familial (FLCPF) and SENSOA, both members of the Abortion Right platform, join IPPF and Le Planning Familial (France) in condemning the United States’ decision to destroy large stocks of contraceptives originally intended for women in partner countries in the Global South, where access to reproductive healthcare is limited.
These supplies are currently stored in Belgium and are at risk of being incinerated in France.
The organisations call on the Belgian and French governments to do everything in their power to prevent this destruction and ensure the supplies reach the people who need it.
