First of all you should know that despite today’s vote it is highly likely that total ban on abortion will be introduced quite soon. The reason is that in less than 2 months we will have parliamentary elections and – according to all public opinion polls – the winner will be the Law and Justice party, extremely conservative, populist and catholic political group. They may even be able to form a single party government, which would be a disaster – not only regarding the right to abortion. Imposing total ban might be relatively easy as they are not the only party that supports it – for example many MPs from the Polish People’s Party, the member of current coalition government, support the ban.
